Perhaps an encouraging word means so much because we’re surrounded by so much of the opposite. Sadly, negativity runs amok. We hear it in the news, in the conversations we overhear, and unfortunately, all too often, in the ones we are participating in. That being the case it only makes sense that when we get a glimpse of the opposite — a bit of positivity — we naturally want more of it. We want to experience more of the positive things in life.… Read the rest of the article

The Story You Tell Yourself Becomes Your Reality
From the moment we leave the womb we begin to play a part in our own life story. To start, we are only doing cameo appearances. Someone else is calling the shots for the most part. As we grow older, we take on more and more of the lead role.
The experiences we have, our surroundings, the people that we come into contact with, just about everything in our lives goes into making us the people we become. Everyone has stories they tell themselves — these are incredibly important because they can shape our lives when we allow them to.… Read the rest of the article
5 steps for feeling more accomplished at the end of the day

Fortunately, at a fairly young age it was instilled in me the importance of always giving my best to each and every task at hand. That said, I readily confess that I haven’t always followed that advice.… Read the rest of the article
The Importance of Running Your Race
I learned from Andy Stanley that there is “no win in comparison.” Upon reflecting on that it became clear that any achievement I’ve had of any significance was born out of me running my own race — choosing to develop the GOD given talents which I believe we are all endowed with.
Any stage or audience I’ve had the opportunity to share with did not happen because I tried to do it better than some other speaker, friend or colleague.… Read the rest of the article
Your Definition of Success Keeps you in Check and on Track
We can all agree that we live incredibly busy lives. There always seems to be something that is willing (and often more than able) to pull us off track. It is for this reason that we need to have a clearly defined (written down) definition of success. This is something I wrote about in greater detail in my book, It’s Your Life, LIVE BIG, but suffice it to say, the level at which you put this idea to work, will greatly determine how quickly, if at all, you are able to get back to, and working on the things you want to see show up in your life.… Read the rest of the article
