When I am speaking to groups and organizations I’ll often joke with the audience by telling them I’m the person they bring out when they need something taught in such a simple way that absolutely everyone gets it. Perhaps it is my southern accent (I’m from Alabama) which often gets the audience chuckling a bit.
I’m only half joking though of course.

As a whole I think there is a sad tendency in most of us to underestimate just how powerful we are. Just how much greatness lies inside each and every one of us – just waiting to get out.

Are you patting yourself on the back enough? Chances are if you’re moving too hastily towards your intended goals you’re not taking ample time to enjoy your accomplishments. And doing so has so many benefits that it’s something we should definitely develop the habit of doing more of. But make no mistake, the decision to do so begins with you.

Life is quite the adventure. I confess that there are times, on the rare occasion where I question my abilities. Incidentally, if you’re curious, no, I don’t consider that a weakness, instead I like to call it being human 🙂

If you’ve been on your own personal development journey for any amount of time you’ve undoubtedly met with some challenges along the way. Challenges aren’t a bad thing. They can certainly be difficult, but provided we are willing to accept it as part of the process, they can bring forth some pretty awesome opportunities from which to grow and become better for having experienced them.

Contrary to popular opinion life’s rewards don’t always go to the person with the most “natural talent”, the best looking, or the lucky few. No matter what you may believe, the truth is everyone (yes, YOU included!) has a shot at getting ahead provided they are willing to do what is required of them in order to get to where they want to be.
