Always strive to do your best. Someone is always watching

Consider the following quote from my book

“When we set out to do the best we can do, it is inevitable that great opportunity finds us because we are doing what truly makes us happy. We’re in alignment and ready for the opportunities that life puts in our path.”

Fortunately, at a fairly young age it was instilled in me the importance of always giving my best to each and every task at hand. That said, I readily confess that I haven’t always followed that advice.… Read the rest of the article

Let Your Journal Help You Gauge Your Progress

I learned from Jim Rohn to keep a journal. For me, it’s a place to record the wins of my life. It is also a sort of “catch all” where I can save important tidbits I learn, that I want to come back to at a later time.

On more than one occasion, when I’ve made some terrible decision, the kind that leaves you heart-broken, or the kind that leaves you feeling as though you’ve finally done something so stupid that the result will be absolutely devastating, I will go to my journal, read back through some other, unrelated, but similar mistake or decision I made, and find solace in the fact that just as I managed to make it through before, so too can I expect to do so this time around.… Read the rest of the article

The Importance of Running Your Race

Josh Hinds - Speaker and authorI learned from Andy Stanley that there is “no win in comparison.” Upon reflecting on that it became clear that any achievement I’ve had of any significance was born out of me running my own race — choosing to develop the GOD given talents which I believe we are all endowed with.

Any stage or audience I’ve had the opportunity to share with did not happen because I tried to do it better than some other speaker, friend or colleague. I was there because what I had to share, from my own life experiences is what others wanted to hear.… Read the rest of the article

Your Definition of Success Keeps you in Check and on Track

Josh Hinds - Speaker and authorWe can all agree that we live incredibly busy lives. There always seems to be something that is willing (and often more than able) to pull us off track. It is for this reason that we need to have a clearly defined (written down) definition of success. This is something I wrote about in greater detail in my book, It’s Your Life, LIVE BIG, but suffice it to say, the level at which you put this idea to work, will greatly determine how quickly, if at all, you are able to get back to, and working on the things you want to see show up in your life.… Read the rest of the article

How to Get Better Results When Requesting Joint Ventures (JV’s) — Hint: Don’t be Self-centered

This is going to be a bit more “business oriented” than some of my other writing. If that’s not your forte, you have my permission to tune out now. Or better yet, just peruse through any of the other posts I have written (there are many).

We’re going to discuss how to go about crafting joint ventures that don’t make you come across as self centered — and dare I say, actually be seen as someone others would want to enter into a proposed venture with.… Read the rest of the article

How to visualize your BIG life starting now

Friend, to LIVE BIG, you have to know what it looks like for you. Visualizing your BIG life is one of the lessons included in my book. In short, visualizing can be done in various ways beyond the traditional minds eye picture. If you’re more auditory, repeat your “vision” out loud, or record it so you can play it back to yourself on a ongoing basis. You might also decide to keep a journal, and in it write out what you’re BIG life looks like in vivid detail.… Read the rest of the article
