Life is quite the adventure. I confess that there are times, on the rare occasion where I question my abilities. Incidentally, if you’re curious, no, I don’t consider that a weakness, instead I like to call it being human 🙂
Perhaps you can relate to any of the following questions having run through your mind before: Am I as successful as I should be? Have I lived up to my full potential? Should I have done such and such. Should I have chosen this over that. The questions which can pop-up are near limitless in scope.
As I mentioned before, questioning isn’t a bad thing in and of itself. It can help to keep us on our toes. In fact, in some instances it can help to move us from stagnation to a place where we experience just enough uneasiness that we get busy and get on with the business of doing what is required of us to attain whatever we happen to be after.
Where questioning begins to become a challenge is the point at which we find ourselves unable to silence our inner Doubting Thomas, and get on with taking whatever action is necessary to move us in the direction we want to go. And make no mistake… movement is a necessity if you want to see greener pastures!
As you move through your day keep the following saying clearly in mind. Reflect on it, and take notice of how it plays out in your own life. Let this simple statement lend strength to you when you may be feeling doubt…
“Life has an amazing way of filling in the details for the person who will practice courage by leaping out in faith and taking action.”
If you’re stuck in in-action no matter how much wishing otherwise you do, you’re more than likely going to remain right there where you are… stuck.
On the other hand if you’ll move even the slightest bit, even if you’re not completely sure exactly what steps to take, if you’ll just apply some sort of change in direction (i.e. inspired action!), you’ll find more often than not that the very act of doing something was enough to create the necessary forward momentum to get you moving in the right direction.
Friend, you don’t have to have all the answers prior to setting out in the pursuit of your goals and dreams. You do have to have the courage to begin though — and yes, you will very likely need to move beyond your current comfort zone.
That said, I can promise you that in no time flat you are sure to notice that you have all you need to meet with success, to overcome whatever at first appeared to stand in your way. You will begin to see first hand that you have countless talents, and GOD given gifts. Numerous people, things, and opportunities will begin to appear, and start to transpire which all work towards moving you towards that which you hold to be worthwhile.
Your willingness to take action will reveal to you just how capable you are. That perhaps is one of the most interesting things about the achievement process. It’s totally possible to remain completely stagnant, if one chooses to wait for the right time prior to going for ones goals, dreams, or the things they deem to be worthwhile.
That said, the person who can convince themselves to leap out in seemingly blind faith — giving their honest best effort will more often than not find that doing so, in the end is all that was truly required of them to live a life well worth living, filled with great adventure and a sense of fulfillment.
Don’t ask for the journey to be easy, for in doing so you may well miss it all together. Ask instead for the courage to step out even in your darkest moments, for in doing so your courage will inevitably be the beacon of light which will shine the light on the path necessary to get you to your own definition of success.
As you move forward each day keep clearly in mind that so long as you continue to move forward in the direction of your dreams your path will continue to appear, the brush will clear and you will attain the place you seek.
Never forget that you were indeed made for greatness. When you show courage through action you prove that you are worthy of the rich rewards that life holds in store for you.
It’s your life, LIVE BIG!
